Editing Content Items in CMS Pages and Blocks

Editing Content Item Widgets in Pages
To edit a content item widget:
- On the Edit Placeholders: [CMS Page name] -> Placeholder tab editor, click a widget element.
- In the popover menu, you can click:
- Edit Widget. This will re-open the Insert a Content Item pop-up window where you can select another content item of the same type and/or another template.
In order to have a different content item type, you need to delete this one and add a new content item type.
- Edit Content Item. This will open the Edit Content Item Type: Content Item Key page in a new tab where you can update content item elements.
Keep in mind that after you changed only content item name, you need to refresh the Edit Placeholders: [Page Name] page of the editor to reflect the changes.
- Remove icon. This will delete the added content item widget.
- To keep the updates, click Save.
Editing Content Item Widgets in Blocks
To edit a content item widget:
- On the Edit Block Glossary: [Block ID name] -> Placeholder tab editor, click a widget element.
- In the popover menu, you can click:
- Edit Widget. This will re-open the Insert a Content Item pop-up window where you can select another content item of the same type and/or another template.
In order to have a different content item type, you need to delete this one and add a new content item type.
- Edit Content Item. This will open the Edit Content Item Type: [Content Item Key] page in a new tab where you can update content item elements.
Keep in mind that after you changed the content item name, you need to refresh the Edit Placeholders: [Page Name] page of the editor to reflect the changes.
- Remove icon. This will delete the added content item widget.
- To keep the updates, click Save.
